Flame of Knowledge shared from the LAMP lighted at Carmel Girls HSS Burns Bright in 400 minds in four hundred families
79th edition of CG3 LAMP held in Carmel Girl’s Higher Secondary School, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, on 27th November 2025 from 9 am to 12 pm, with more than 400 students of the Higher Secondary Section participating with great enthusiasm. The session was inaugurated by Mr. Justice B Sudheendra Kumar, Former Judge High Court of Kerala, and presently President of the Kerala State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. The session commenced with prayer by the school choir. The session was chaired by Dr. K P Kylasanatha Pillay, Senior Advocate and Mentor CG3. The principal of the School, Smt Anjana welcomed the gathering.  In her welcome speech, the principal acknowledged the significance of CG3 LAMP session and its value addition to the character and personality of the children. An orientation talk was delivered by Adv. Jani P, with extensive reference to Cyber Crimes, POCSO, NDPS and social media, with frequent interactions with participating students. A keynote address with high motivation content was delivered by Mr. Justice B. Sudheendra Kumar. The keynote, which lasted for more than 1 hr, was a lively exposure of the spirit of the Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Directive principles and Fundamental Duties and other constitutional principles generally. In the course of the speech there was spontaneous interaction between the speaker Justice Sudheendra Kumar, and the students. A student representative, Kum. Parvathy Krishna addressed the session with reference to the CG3 LAMP movement and dignitaries who attended the occasion. Kumari Parvathy Krishna also compared the presentation of mementoes and gifts to the guests on the dais.  A session of question and answer was also handled with great felicity and interest by Justice B Sudheendra Kumar, responding to questions from the students in a very detailed and convincing manner. The students have shown great interest in the LAMP session and the topic on which deliberations were made: “Legal Awareness with Constitutional Perspective for School Children as Capacity Building Process; a Social Harmony Mission Viewed from the Current Issues of Cyber Crime, social media, POCSO Cases, and NDPS Cases.” The questions advanced by the students reflected their deep interest in gaining awareness of the law. The session was originally scheduled for 90 minutes from 9:00 am, but the lively session went on for 3 hr duration. The session was concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Adv. Simi V Tharakan and Concluded with the National Anthem. The discipline, interest and punctuality shown by the school authorities, led by the respected principal and her team, made the session a grand success. The efforts in coordination and organisation of the LAMP session of the school by Ms Sini, a member of the faculty, contributed greatly to the success of the session. Altogether, the session was lively with participation of the students in the presence of their principal, and teachers and the same created an excellent ambience. CG3, with this session of LAMP, welcome Carmel Girl’s Higher Secondary School as an institution member of our family and for future connectivity.
